Disappeared Gambian-US Citizens Spotted In Kanil
The disappeared Gambian-United States citizens, Alhagie Ceesay and Ebou Jobe, have been spotted out in President Yahya Jammeh’s birthplace of Kanilai, humra sources have confirmed.
This latest development follow revelations by the online media confirming that the two Gambian-United States citizens were in fact abducted by agents of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) at their Brusubi home six months ago. The agency’s deputy chief Yankuba Badjie was accused of leading the abduction purporsely to freeze the abductees’ cash, diamond and drilling machines.
“We understand that President Yahya Jammeh ordered the duo be arrested and their belongings seized,” our sources confirmed, accusing Yankuba Badjie, NuhaBadjie, Saul Badjie and Solo Bojang of hiding behind the cover of the night to abduct Ceeay and Jobe. “It’s also true NIA broke into their business complex and went away with everything valuable, including computers and other office furniture,” our sources said.
During the course of their disappearance, Jobe and Ceesay have been moved from one detention to another. They were transferred from the NIA dungeons to Tanjie and then Jeshwag where President Jammeh’s Junglers smuggled them out.
Humra sources saw Jobe and Ceesay in a secure location Kanilai. “The government’s fear of online leakage of their whereabouts force them to relocate Alhagie and Ebou to Kanilai. They are still alive,” our sources reported.
The duo’s abduction followed after they returned to the Gambia to venture in cash nut and diamond business. Before their disappearance, the partners made business trips to Angola, Sierra Leone and Guinea-Bissau.
Human Rights for All News sources added that the duo’s troubles came after Yankuba Badjie saw diamonds and drilling machines at Ebou Jobe’s home, and became privy to his business interest. “He confided in President Jammeh and Saul Badjie,” said a source.
Both the families of the kidnapped men and the United States government are concerned about their disappearance.
