Welcome to Humra page

HUMRA
(Human Rights for All)  is civil society organization established in Sweden in in the year 2008. It was established by a group of professional exiled Gambians committed to human rights, rule of law and justice. We do social and outreach campaign to help bring back democracy, human rights and the rule of law to the Gambia where a dictatorial government silences all voices of dissent, illegally closed down independent media houses and above all detention without trial and extrajudicial killings becomes governments tools of defeating dissent and opposition members.. The regime’s media repression forced many journalists and many of its citizens into exile and denied Gambians the right to freedom and social justice.
Background
Human Rights for All(HUMRA) investigates, document and shares information with it partners
like amnesty international, Human Rights Watch and other human rights groups. We also
publishes and broadcasts on the internet through its blog.      HUMRA was
established to expose and document injustice in the Gambia, promote democracy and human
rights. It also creates a platform for voiceless Gambians to be heard so they can engage in public
debate. HUMRA project demonstrate its commitment to the promotion of human rights, social
justice, press freedom and expression, including the rights women. Our mission generally is to
investigate, document and expose human rights violations and abuse, with the aims of bringing to
book the violators and justice for the abused.
Justifications:
The absence of accountability, respect for human rights, rule of law and an independent and
critical media in any country does not only defeat democracy, human rights and dispensation of
justice but also leaves citizens in dark, fear and uncertainty. That is exactly what is happening in
the Gambia, West Africa, where citizens are denied access to news and the right to be heard.
